There are many such STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) which man is suffering from in today’s scenario. Some of the STDs are really very dangerous and are quite contagious too. Herpes is such a disease. Herpes is also known as Herpes Simplex STD. Herpes Simplex STD is caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). Herpes Simplex STD is a very dangerous disease and is highly contagious too. Herpes Simplex STD is a sort of skin infection which leads to dangerous, irritating and highly contagious skin infections in the form of small blisters in groups over the infected body parts. These infections are often referred to as Cold Sores or Fever Blisters. Herpes Simplex STD is caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and is of two types, namely Oral Herpes and Genital Herpes. Both the types of Herpes Simplex STD are highly contagious and equally dangerous too. Oral Herpes is the type of Herpes Simplex STD in which the infections are in the form of small blisters in groups of a few over various body parts including face, mouth, nose, eyes, lips, cheeks, chin, neck, shoulders or elbows. But when we talk about Genital Herpes Simplex STD, the infections are over the genitals of the individual and include the sex organs, groin, buttocks and the opening of the anus of the person. HSV is of two types, namely HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both the types of HSV are slightly different from each other in properties. Usually Oral Herpes is caused by the HSV-1 and HSV-2 is responsible for the cause and spread of Genital Herpes, but it is not always true as the medical practitioners and researchers believe that both the types of HSV are able to produce both the types of Herpes Simplex STD. Herpes Simplex STD is most commonly spread by the means of various sexual activities including sexual contacts. Oral Herpes is spread via kisses, Oral Herpes, use of infected utensils, razors, etc., or by directly coming to the contact with the saliva of the infected person. But if we talk about Genital Herpes , it is spread by the means of sexual intercourse, oral sex, etc. So, one must avoid such activities with the infected people in order to stay away from Herpes Simplex STD and to stay fit and healthy. For this, one must take a few precautions in life. These precautions include limiting the number of sex partners, taking proper precautions while making sexual contacts with anyone, avoiding sex contacts with unknowns or with infected people, etc. Herpes Simplex STD is a very dangerous and one must avoid it in order to lead as safe and healthy life.
